Alex Moral


Alex joined Trustmark in July 2006 as a Vice President and Actuary. Prior to joining Trustmark, Alex worked for American United Life, Horace Mann Life, GE and AIG. He has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of the Philippines and a master’s degree in actuarial science from Ball State University. Alex is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA). He also holds the FLMI and CEBS designations. Read articles from Alex on our blog.

Janet Barber

Chief Operations Officer

Janet joined Trustmark in March of 2013 with extensive experience in the financial services and insurance industry. She is responsible for underwriting, case implementation and the operations areas, including billing and customer care. Janet holds a bachelor’s of arts degree in English from Western Washington University in Bellingham, Wash.

Mike Hawksworth

Vice President, Actuarial

Mike joined Trustmark in 1994 directly after graduate school and has 17 years of experience in the insurance industry. As Vice President of actuarial, he is responsible for product design and pricing, as well as financial reporting. Mike received a Master of Science degree in nuclear physics from Purdue University and Bachelor of Arts in physics from Wabash College in Crawfordsville, IN. He holds both FSA and MAAA actuarial designations.

Dan Johnson

Vice President, Sales & Marketing

Dan is responsible for sales, marketing, and sales support and implementation. His expansive career in insurance began at Capitol Bankers Life Insurance Company before he moved on to Alexander Hamilton Life. He later joined National Worksite Benefits and worked as part of the team involved in the creation of National Worksite Advantage, a consolidated billing TPA. Dan Kraft

Vice President, Product & Innovation

Dan joined Trustmark in July 2014 with more than 20 years experience in product management, marketing and sales. He serves as the point person regarding Trustmark’s strategy, incorporating the voice of the customer and staying abreast of the latest market trends to deliver true solutions to our customers. Dan holds an MBA from DePaul University and a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI.
